How it all started. I was looking for a car to drive to and from work. 100 mile round trip. A friend who has a miata said to get 1 of those. I get about 34 mpg, he said. OK I will thats much better than the 13mpg I get in my truck. So I started looking around and I found 1 right in my town. It had a 2 month old paint job and brand new top. From the first moment I saw it, I knew it was mine. Later that day it was!!! My plan was to just drive it. Do nothing to it but drive. Yeah right!! The thing was so much to drive I couldn't help myself. I started adding things. First came the rims and tires. Then came time to close up the fender gaps. I first won an auction on some springs from EBAY. Although they made the car look awesome. It road like a covered wagon. So the Intrax springs had to go. They were replaced with Racing Beat springs. Much better ride. I then changed out shocks using KYB AGX 8-way adjustables. Now it rides smooth again but still looks good. Now comes the sound. I went to our local custom exhaust shop. I told him I wanted it to sound good but not too loud. I also showed him how much room he had to route the pipes. I was palning on relocating my spare to under the car. Some people in other forums said you can't have duals and still have enough room to move the spare. WRONG!! It can be done. Exterior cosmetics. Those ugly turn signals had to go. TSIs make a huge difference. Add in a little gutter guard and walla. Added a rear wing, Altezza style lights, little chrome bits here and there, and it looks pretty good. IMOPI still have more I want to do but it takes time.
