centralcoaster's 1985 Chevrolet CorvetteWelcome to my website! Go to PAGE 3 for details on the build-up. By now I've wrenched on every system in the car in the name of repairs and upgrades, so if you need any help, please post your questions in the guestbook.

centralcoaster's 1985 Chevrolet Corvette1985 was the first year of the Tuned Port Injection (TPI) 350 engine, but it's still the same pushrod beast Chevy's been using since the 50s. My Corvette is equipped with the Z51 suspension option which included stiffer springs, thicker sway bars, Bilstein gas-charged shocks, a more rigid frame, oil cooler, tighter steering ratio and wider 9.5" wheels. 14,802 Z51 models were produced. Of the nearly 40,000 produced in 1985, less than 25% of them came with the 4+3 manual transmission.

The engine compartment is strictly business. I keep it clean inside and out. It's not much fun wrenching on a car that's caked with grime.

Most ricers only recognize Corvettes by the taillights. This is what you'll see when I'm sandbaggin' you at the track!

sweet ride my grandparents have an 89 corvette, I am 17 and they let me drive it, I cannot get over how much of a thrill it was to drive, I hope they let me do it again. At first glance of your license plate I thought it said "DIE HIPPY" lol. 5 stars for your ride and the effort you put into it.

I have just nominated you for showoff of the week. I would like to compliment you for your stellar work on a fabulous vehicle & a very creative web site. The appearance & the upgrades you have added to your Corvette are both appealing & tasteful. I only hope I can perform half of what you have achieved to my 85 Vette. I hope you don't mind but I have sent you a private message with hopes that you may be able to advice me regarding my Zf6 swap. I hope that I will hear from you soon. Thanks & Best Wishes, Larry..............
