THANKS! It's great to see you!
My name is Jason and I just bought this 1990 Corolla for only $500.
This is the most current picture as of:

These are pictures of it as I bought it. As I fix it up, I'll add pics and describe everything on page 2. What makes this car different is I WON'T be spending lots of money on it. I want to take this car from decent looking to decent looking-just a little differently. No whistles and bells here, dude.

My favorite thing has always been the SOUND. I spend money on that first because it's what I have the most fun with. Besides, it might take quite a bit of work to make this car go fast.

I just did a lot of interior painting, check it out on page 2.

NEW! First coat of black paint! Page 2!

Current improvements to the car as of 6/09/04 include:

Sony Xplod head unit
Kenwood 4" front speakers
Pioneer 6x9" 4way rear speakers
fabric on ceiling
white interior paint
new leather boot
black exterior paint (in progress)
AC conversion kit

As you can see, I don't know where to begin with the engine, or even whether or not it's worth it, since there are 190k miles on it.

While I admire you doing everything on a budget like I am,and being very cost effective,I'm not too keen on the outcome of what you're doing. Yes,paint is a VERy easy and good way to make something look completely different, but honestly, white is one of the tackiest colours to put in an interior. It just doesn't belong. Anyways man, nice system, and I like a person brave enough to paint their own car! I will be painting my car within the next couple weeks. Keep up the thrifty work, and good luck with everything! :)
