Here are some pics of my new bronco. I bought it about 2 weeks ago. Its a fully loaded Eddie Bauer. The truck is in pretty good shape, just needs a very good cleaning. It has a 5.0 and 4spd auto tranny. Also has P/W, P/DL, A/C, P/S, P/B, Power Rear Window.

Here is some damage that was done to the vehicle by one of the previous owners. Im guessing that he backed into a telephone pole or tree or something. You can also see the rust thats on the tailgate. Im gonna figure out what to do with that right now.

Here is a pic of when I recessed some foglights in the grill. It looks pretty cool and lights up the ground right where I want it for off-roading.

You can see some of the rust in this pic, that was hidden by some paint.

And here is where some idiot punched my truck twice. The fricken paint is splitting

I picked up these light guards at a junkyard for $2. They look cool and help stop rocks from breaking them.

The mystery wire (if it is right above the throtle) is for an electric trailer brake. I think I still have the harness if you need it.

I had one just like this. 1986 Eddie Bauer Bronco with a 5.0L, even the same color scheme. I got it for graduation and it had 60K on it. I said I would drive that thing until it blew up. I drove it for 13 more years and it never blew up! I threw a timing chain at about 150K and replaced it with a Edelbrock double roller timing chain. That's all I did to the engine! Entire drivetrain was stock when I sold it. I had a killer high-flow cat with a Flowmaster muffler that sounded so sweat and gave me more HP. When I sold it, it had 250K on that 5.0 and it could go up the side of the building. This car was the toughest American truck there was. Too bad Ford's quality went down. I purchased a 2000 Explorer (with the 5.0L) and, except for the engine, the Explorer was a piece of crap. I miss my Bronco! Enjoy!

Can anyone tell me what the gauge to the right of the speedometer and right above the thing that says "P" "R" "N" "D" ect. is.

On a 86 Ford Bronco, that would be the tachometer, which was an option only on the higher trim levels.

Nice Bronco. Mine is in about the same condition, High miles, needs all new shocks, and a little bit a rust. Are lifting yours? I plan to someday. Check mine out. Later
