All my upgrade projects have been on hold due to really poor weather. For those who keep with global weather patterns, you'd know that Japan has been hit with 3 major typhoons within a period of six weeks. I guess the weather gods don't want me to upgrade my my brakes or something.
Anyways, a friend of mine visited me from Australia in August. On the trip from the airport to Tokyo, he managed to get a cool video of me doing a run out of the toll gates. Unfortunately, I mis-shifted and so I had to double-clutch to avoid grinding the gears too fiercely. So, the run doesn't look as smooth as I would have liked it to be.
But as you will notice, the acceleration from 5000rpms to the redline (8800rpms) is nearly instantaneous in 1st and 2nd gears. I think I was boosting about 1BAR or approximately 14.7psi. The 85+ degree weather plus 90%+ humidity didn't help the performace, but the car felt fair none the less. The weather is much cooler in Japan now (averaging 60-75 degrees farenheit, so the car run so much better.
But anyways, enough talk, here's the vid! Thanks Adam for the cool AVI!
