The bumper that is on the car is the incorrect one. I have been told that it is off a Chevelle. Althought it is a small thing and the only difference is the marker lights I have decieded to put the correct one on. Bellow are some shots of a used one that we will install on the car.
After many calls I have selected a compay to rechorme the bumper and it went out two days ago. I will let you know what I think of the work when it comes back. Lead time is 4 weeks. Any one interested in a good Chevelle bumper?
Below left are new lights for the bumper when it returns. Well the bumper is back after 6 weeks, long wait, below right is before starting.
Below left is front end with out bumper, below right is old bumper on the floor.
Below left is old and new bumpers on the floor, below right is new bumper on the car. There was no fill valance between the bumper and grill. One has been purchased through e-bay and will be added.
In conclusion I was not really happy with Midwest Restoration Parts as they took a long time to return the bumper after rechroming. The chrome seems to be ok, only time will tell. Please let me know if you have any shops you have used for rechroming. I would like to have my trim rings on the wheels rechromed.
