Below are pictured the wheels and tires that were on the vehicle. One of the first things I did was to put on some Americian Racing Torq Thrust wheels that I had on my 1983 Caprice. Both sets are for sale if interested. I have ordered original style SS Rally wheels and am currently waiting for them to arrive. I ordered 7X15 for the front and 8X15 for the rear. I plan on installing 205X70X15 BF Goodrich ATs on the front as blackwalls and 275X60X15 BF Goodrich ATs on the rear as blackwalls.

The new wheels arrived today. I had the tires mounted up and then found out that the bolts to hold the SS caps to the wheels were not included. I had hardware bolts but elected to wait untill tomarrow to get some stainless steel bolts so they will not rust. So while I am waiting I spraded up the retaining clips so they will not rust either. The wheel trim rings are on back order.I am taking a lot of heat for taking the chrome rims of and putting the SS Rally wheels on. What do you think? When I get the wheels and tires on the car I will update with pictures.

Love the car. 5 stars. Like how you changed the bumper back to the monte carlo bumper, it is correct for the caminos to have round marker lights, i personally think it also looks better. check out my 1970 some time.

Hey Glenn! It's Steve Sutherland ( the 17 year old with the 70 El Camino from Grand Island) I was just checking out some more El Caminos on here and I remember seeing this page before, now looking again I recognized the car and you, thats awesome, its such an amazing El Camino in person and it's sweet to see the pictures of the restoration, you really did an awesome job! I gave you 5 stars, just thought it was cool to come across your page on here, check out mine sometime if you can, See you later, maybe in Stratford in september if you go!
