RED BEAST - 1991 Lightweight Supercharged Intercooled Mazda Miata

This website was quickly thrown together but will eventually document all the changes I have made as I build this car. The goal is to have a 10:1 ratio (pounds:horsepower) when I am finished. This will be enough to make the Porsches and Corvettes sit up and take notice. You will note that some of the pictures look like they were taken from different cars. This is because i have removed parts from one car and put them on another. While doing this I did not see any reason to take a picture of the supercharger on car 1 and then again on car 2 (since it is the same supercharger). I'll clean up the discrepancies in the pictures in the near future.

This is how the car looked when purchased:

And this is what it looks like now (in progress):

Great work on your Miata. It's very interesting to see what all is hiding under that dash. If I ever find another Miata around for a good price, I'd love to put it on a diet like yours. Keep up the good work, and 2 thumbs up on your diet yourself. :)

Hey Bob, you know I'm just messin' with you. By the way, their seems to be a real lack of comments in this guestbook. :)

All I have to say is that is one nasty looking spark plug and that weight loss on June 4 is a little suspicious looking. Are you sure your not sucking it in? No fair cheating. Brett Edward Walters(Owner of a 2003 Chevy Tahoe)
