1965 Ford ThunderbirdHere's the latest addition, a total original car from sunny California.I'm the second owner, believe it or not its still the original paint! Never been repainted except for the bonnet and drivers fender/door.. Its the stock 390 4V FE Big Block 315HP/427 Ft/Lbs Torque. Never been apart before, when I picked it up from the port I found a invoice from four years earlier the car had only done 200 miles in those four years! After its trip around the world it rolled out of the container started up and drove home just over an hour no problems at all even drove good at 100MPH! I have since done the following:New Carb 750 Vac Sec (Too big for a stock 390 but it won't stay stock)Pertronics Ignitor III Electronic ignitionNew Plugs/LeadsNew Heater/Radiator HosesNew BeltsNew Thermostat & Heater CoreAll new brakes (Hoses, Master Cyl, Wheel Cyls, Calipers, Rotors etc)New ShocksNew Front springs (1.5 inches lower)Heavy Duty Sway Bar18 inch rimsI still have a bit of work to do yet some plans are:Install new HeadersChange Column bushesBuild a hidden 5.1 Surround Sound system with one of my original Radio conversions - see www.phoenixaudionz.comI will strip the underneath of the car and repaint and powder coat everything - there is no rust at all on this car not even a speck of surface rust on the body, the only rust is some surface on leaf springs and the diff housing! All the frame rails etc still have the red primer no patches or repairs ever, its the cleanest flairbird i've ever seen, thats why I brought it!! It could use a paint job to make it perfect but the original paint is too tidy to repaint yet but I will do it one day..Thanks for checking it out, enjoy!!
