update: 6/26/06

Havent been on here in a while. Alot of the touchup paint i used on the bumpers and trim is FUBAR now from hitting bugs and whatnot. Hopefully ill get it to pass emissions this week tags have been out for a year. Runs great still but the Hydrocarbon limit for it is like 220 ppm and it was over 1300
the cone filter ended up making it run rich i think so im putting an oem airfilter back in for the next test. was gonna do that today but its nasty and raining out. if it does pass next thing is trying to run a turbo on that tiny carbed motor , my friend has the old stock one out of his dodge colt

new pics soon

Failed emissions again today, good news is the stock airfilter runs way better dropped my hydrocarbons down to 900 ppm which didnt help much since the limit for this car is 220 im gonna give up on that untill i find a loophole and mess with my power wagon

Milage now is like 145k i cant believe ive had this car for 3 years

strut tower bars are 3/4 brushed stainless

kinda ghettoed the airfilter, remove oem filter then put the housing back on, disconnect the piping from the main piece
get some 3M rubber tape if you dont know what that is check it out at 3M.com wrap it around the end the tubing use to go to untill it is thick enough to put the cone filter on it seals up great. the 3m rubber tape makes a nice looking gasket/adapter around it because it is almost like puddy. Im not sure but i think the filter was the large APC one at the time. it pretty much takes up all the space right there. i doubt sucking up all that hot air is good for it so building a box around it with cold air piped to it or boxed with an intake on the hood that sealed up would be a good idea.
