Here's my derby car: 1980 Dodge St. Regis (The Dodge full-size sedan: equivalent to all '79-'81 st. regises, chrylser newports, new yorkers, and plymouth gran furys)
It's been obviously stripped of all glass, trim, flammables, etc. It has a '78 aspen front bumper, 4 bar roll cage (bar across dash area, bar behind seat, bar in each door connecting seat and dash bars), with a rollover bar with the uprights bolted to the floorboard. The trunk has been wedged. DEC headers poking outta the hood. The 318 is otherwise stock. I have a direct-mount shifter and a transmission cooler hooked up, also. Doors are wired shut with #9 wire, but I think our promoter is going to allow doors to be welded next year, so if he does, they will be.

This one's been through 3 heats, and it has plenty left. It hasn't been pushed too hard, because I keep screwing up little things that take me out. Next summer will see this thing destroyed, though. Hopefully I get a trophy or 2 in the process. :) I need to pull the core support back out (I took a shot to the front end with the bumper off), weld the bumper on good, swap transmissions, and put in an 8 3/4 rear end with some steep gears (I'm thinkin' in the 4.88 range). She ought to be a fun ride next summer. :D
