I Finaly got a 5L again. its been a whole year but i found the right car. it was another 4cyl conversion. this one was easy tho. still working on the altenator wiring, and the whole cluch cable crap, but its drivable!! its an '86 LX, the motor came out of an '89 GT. the car the motor was in was a track car and nothing else the guy wanted to go bigger so sold it. it ran in the low 13's on the track, however i'd need some upgrades before im doin that. i still have the 7.5 inch rear end, the front shocks are stock, and the rear are air. its got 2 1/2 inch flowmaster exhaust, the T5 5 speed Tranny a 750 holly carb, carter fuel pump, and a holly hi pressure fuel regulator. i was told when i bought the engine that it was stock, but i'm sure its been worked on. i got the car for the price of trading my three wheeler (about a $400cdn value), $1200cdn for the motor, tranny and exhaust, and about $300 on paint...
Cheap car when you think about it. I'll need to replace the umbrella seals next spring, plus all the extras to make it a true 5.0 mustang.
These Pictures were took a couple days after it was painted

Got a few better pics of it.
Got the 5.0L emblems off ebay along with the cobra snakes

And here is the interior. as you can see its brown right now. the dash, and door panels came from another stang from a guy i know. His car has almost everything i need to convert it to gray and black.
this is my summer/mostly winter "gas saver" car a 1991 mustang lx

Its just a 2.3L with NO power AT ALL. I think those 2.3L's were rated at like 120HP??? somethin like that. but i like the car for its looks and its gas mileage! i think i'm getting close to 35mpg on the highway! I only payed $2200 Canadian for it, so it was a great price!
This was My first 1986 Mustang. It started out with a 2.3 ltr. 4cyl. Then when I bought it their was a 3.8 Ltr. 6cly. in it (more Pictures of it when first bought on page 5). That motor was worn out so much I don't think I would trust it around the block. So my dad was junking his '69 Galixie so we pulled the 302 out and rebuilt it. Several months later and a bunch of motor parts (oil pan, motor mounts...). Here was the almost finished Stang.
As you see I painted the hood but thats as far as i got before selling it.
cleaned up the night i sold it.
