Next came the stereo. While stock is decent and it had the roof mounted DVD player (which was kept with the new stereo setup), I wanted a better sound. So we installed a Kenwood Excelon KDCX995 head unit, Massive audio VK6 6.5" components with soft dome silk tweeters, Massive Audio VX68 6x8 Coaxials with soft dome silfk tweeters built in, Rockford Fosgate Punch 800A2 amp (running bridged mono) with KnuKoncept 4gauge wiring, feeding a Infinity 10" sub in a custom built vented enclosure. We call this subwoofer "Napoleon" because it is a 10" sub that thinks it is a 18" sub... AMAZING sounding setup in this Expedition. (I will get pics for you, but in the mean time I have a video of the setup)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdeHXEJDS0IWell we killed Napoleon. The surround came off the cone so it was a great time to upgrade to the brand new Alpine SWR-1043D 10" subwoofer. She hits harder and plays harder than the Infinity it replaced. I will get pics soon! Then we tinted the front door window 20% to match the factory tint in the rear. Then we got the idea that 22" wheels would look sick, so we found a set of 22" KMC wheels wrapped by Nitto NT420S tires, that are 305/40/22. Now she has a great look, and rides great!
