GasHappy94’s 1997 Saturn S-Series

This is my beautiful SL2, it's not perfect but it's a nice canvas to start with. My current upgrades are a Kenwood head unit with Dual 6.5s all the way around. I have a 12 inch Dual Subwoofer with a temperary amp hooked up to it. My current plans for it is to have 2 12s with a badass amp, hopefully that'll be soon. I plan on gettin a better headunit and for sure better speakers. Fog lights and maybe HIDs, Rims and exhuast in the future probably and when I get a better income, going all out on the motor with a turbo, 5 spd swap cuz I'm rollin automatic right now, upgrade suspension and steering. Hopefully going to be a good street car.   These are some night shots of the corners of my car, took them on my phone so the quality ain't that good, but in person, its a nice looking car. FYI, the damage was there when the previous owner(my mom) bought the car, was only cosmetic so it didn't bother me too much, I figured a bra would cover it up and make it look nicer.

Feb. 20, 2012 I got some projector fog lights sittin in my room right now. Just waiting for warmer weather so I can put them in. I'll also be posting daytime pics with the car all washed and shiny, there's been some updates that I'll include since the last pics, I've got some sound system stuff on the way too... Just some corner shots of my car during the daylight, car is dirty as a mofo cause of the stupid iowa winters... roadsalt residue makes my car look like crap. Hoping to relocate the front license plate maybe sometime soon. Then possibly lightly tinting the tailights. Trying to find a decently priced OEM SL2 spoiler too.

This is the Cadence amp, it's a Cadence F200-2, 500 peak bridged which is what I was running for my single 12, the box was about 2 cu. ft. ported and it slammed, almost as loud as my friend's 2 JL 12W0v2s, that was before the amp decided to take a shit on me and keeps shuttin off, so the quest for a new amp continues....

This is the current system, have the Sony Headunit, MUCH better than the Kenwood I had, and the Kicker Comp 12 in a single 2 Cu FT. box, its actually the same box as the old house one, but I chopped the mid and tweeter out and patched it up and put 2 ports in it. Sounds pretty beast but I can't wait to go back to 2 12s. BTW, paint is white latex house paint, inside the box and out lol, the box has polyfill too. Same amp as before, just side mounted.

This is my sub box, it's 2 cu. ft. which is bigger than the recommended size, but when it's running on it's peak power(500 watts) it sounds absolutely amazing, I might make a new port for it, but it prolly won't be til I get a new amp.... the smaller speakers are non functional along with the dials, they're just there to plug up the holes that would be there if I took them out...

This is a cheap easy free mod I did. I cut out the thick ass carpet that covers the rear speakers and put some roadmaster speaker grills I had laying around in the holes. It doesnt look too bad, but I need to make a trim ring so the carpet doesnt look so raggedy. I did this mod because I wanted to improve my sound quality along with having something unique.
