Ignore most of that crap in the paragraph underneath....other than the 396, which isnt looking so good anymore, the rest was just drunk talk.
Well boys, this project has kinda been put on hold for the winter but tons of ideas have been floating around in my head. The main one I just cant seem to forget just happens to be the one that i'm going to give all of my effort to make happen. You see that small block on page two? Well replace that with around 500 horses of 396 BIG BLOCK. Along with that i'm thinking a richmond 5 speed, 4.11 posi and at the same time tubbing the car to house 32/18.5/15 Mickey Thomson tires.....pretty sweet eh? lets hope she happpens. Don't forget to sign the guestbook.
This page will be all about my first muscle car and the steps I take to fix it up. The car itself is a 1968 Nova with the stock 307 powerglide combonation and a 2.73 peg leg rear end at the back. At least it's a 2 door eh?
My favorite part about this car right now though has got to be the interior. It's got bucket seats and a console and every part of the interior is in near perfect condition. The headliner, the dashpad, even the carpet...i mean everything.

I bought this nova almost 1 year ago for $900 with my own money. When I first got the car in the garage I noticed it needed a lot of work. The car needed quarter panels, many hours of bodywork on the doors and fenders, and a better drivetrain(the fun part).

Sitting outside for a month can really take it's toll on a car. But at least you can get a better picture of what the car looks like and what it needs. It has shitty door to fender gaps because the front clip was only set on the car. Obviously it needs a fender(the guy i bought it off of gave me a mint set of fenders to go with the car). If you look close you can see some of the rust on the quarter panel which only got worse because the car spent another 5 months outside.

After being outside for 6 months, a spot finally opened up in the garage. I began by taking the front clip back off, and then putting the hood, the driver side door, and the new drivers side fender into primer. I decided to put the front clip back on with the new fenders to make sure the gaps between the doors and fenders would be alright.
Some more pics taken at the same time...

Over the last few weeks i have gotten around to cutting off the quarter panels. The wheel houses are rusted to shit so i'm going to have to repair those. Other than that everything looks good. I'll get some pics up ASAP.
