This 1972 El Camino is NOT an SS, although it does have SuperSport badging.

I drove this car mainly through high school, and now that I am in college it is FOR SALE as I need something I can drive daily on and around campus.
In the Summer of 2000, my dad and I pulled the engine after we had discovered a torn distributor gear and totally redid the engine compartment and rebuilt the 350. Just about every component inside and outside of the engine is aftermarket, and parts replaced are simply too many to list!
Here you can see how we cleaned up the firewall and hid the wires towards the lower portion of the engine bay. Also notice the custom heater box cover, which was hand fabricated.
The interior has the original vinyl bench seat, headliner, and carpeting. Autometer gauges have been added along with a Sun Tachometer, B&M Megashifter, Grant Steering Wheel, and a custom audio system.
When we first acquired the Elky, the rear area was stock exposing the sheet metal surrounding the bed area. We decided to clean this up by fabricating a custom built speaker enclosure which is carpeted and includes two 10-inch MTX Blue Thunder subwoofers along with an MTX Blue Thunder Pro 752 amplifier.
This picture shows the chrome differential cover which houses 4.56 gears. You can also see my Competition Engineering 3 way adjustable shocks and custom air bladder suspension. The valves for the air suspension protrude from the top two holes on the license plate.
Here are some random pictures of my Elky...
