And what high performance Pontiac would be complete without a high performance stereo system. Mine consists of mostly Audiobahn gear. I have a Panasonic ghost face HU sending signals to an Audiobahn EQ/crossover/linedriver all in one unit. This filters the signals to three seperate Audiobahn amps. The first is a 300X2 watt which powers two Audiobahn 12" subs housed in a Q-logic custom enclosure for 3rd gen Firebirds. The second amp send 75 watts of power to 4 channels. The Audiobahn component set in the sailpanel area and the Orion component set housed in Q-form custom kickpanel pods are powered by this multichannel amp. The third is a 50X2 watt dedicated to powering the Alpine dash 4X6 speakers so they don't get drowned out. All this is tied together by Audiobahn wiring, RCAs and distribution blocks.

Here's a couple pics of when I was putting the system together. You can see all the crossover networks and the small amp powering the dash speakers hiding in the spare tire well.

On the left is a shot of the Audiobahn component set consisting of a 6.5" midbass and tweeter. These are mounted in the stock sailpanel location which to which I applied sound deadener. The other pic shows the Q-Form custom kickpanel enclosure which matches the interior perfectly and house an Orion component set consisting of a 5.25" midbass and tweeter. These really help the imaging.

Here's a better daytime picture and also a nighttime shot with the system lit up neon blue. Looks really cool at night.

Here is the Panasonic Ghost Face head unit. You can also see the brand new console and radio pod. I tried to find used consoles in good enough shape, but to no avail. I had to finally buy brand new from GM. I chose the Panasonic mostly for it's 5V preouts. I knew I would be running multiple amps and wanted the strongest and cleanest signals coming from the source.
