Page 3 - Overhaul - My dad overhauled this car with his bare hands. We didn't have a lift only basic tools.
Power Steering Pump started plaing the fool. Took it down and simply cleaned it.
Works like a charm.
That's a deep cyle battery. Car didn't come with A/C so we got it installed after the accident and the ass ran the a/c hose right there in the way.
Removing the engine. Do not attempt this without a lift.
The Asin Carburetor...seriously?! in a 96 tercel?
The head gasket was leaking. The PVC valve wanted changing.
Thank God my dad has done this before. He is one of those multi talented guys that can do everything. I wish I was half as good as he is.
Carburetor removed. It has four bolts holding it onto the intake manifold.
Intake manifold removed.
2e Engine Block. Those five shiny brass things are the engine bearings.
After washing the block with soap and water we sent it to Willoughby machine shop to check for cracks and at one point we were going to fit oversized pistons. Willoughby said the block was in immaculate condition. So we just put it back in.
