Sparkyish's 2012 Hyundai Elantra

7.16.2011: Just bought this beauty... great combination of efficiency and style.
Not too much power but what do you expect if you want 40mpg? Favorite features have to be the integrated bluetooth & comprehensive steering wheel controls; as soon as I get in the car my iPhone transfers the phonebook automatically and I can play music from my phone wirelessly (via bluetooth) through the car as well as give verbal commands to make hands-free calls. It also keeps track of MPG and resets automatically at each fill-up.
I need some name suggestions! It's a boy. The only "mod" so far is window tint; made a world of difference, especially with the white - great contrast.

7.22.2011: Installed a high voltage line converter (AudioControl LC2i) so I could keep the stock look of the car (not to mention there won't be a double-din dash kit available for this model for atleast a year... bummer), a 2 farad capacitor powering a Kenwood 500/1 and a Kicker IX 500.4. The 500/1 powers a ported 10" JL W3 and the 500.4 powers front Kicker RS components -- I will need to upgrade the rear speakers eventually as they are now completely drowned-out by the RS's... I also placed a remote bass control in the compartment just above the shifter for simple wattage regulation of the 500/1. Three layers of dynomat extreme pad the 4 doors (they felt cheaply light before -- now they are solid), and an entire bulk kit took care of any trunk vibrations. Also installed a Clifford alarm with proximity sensors and remote-start which has a 1 mile range (so nice for Texas summers!)

I'll get some pics of the equiptment up sometime this week but honestly besides the sub (which still leaves a suprisng amount of space in the trunk) there's not much that looks different -- which is exactly what I was going for :-)
I have some big plans for this car so stay tuned!
