This is my 1985 Chrysler Laser XT. I received it last year on my birthday from my parents. For the previous two years my dad used it as his work car, but when he got a truck, he put the Laser in the garage and saved it for me. It has the original 2.2L, 135 c.i. turbocharged, fuel-injected 4 cyl. engine. This car cost $15,868 when it was brand new in '85. It came with a $1,456 luxury package which included A/C, leather bucket seats (with the driver seat having power everything), quad halogen headlamps, electronic instrument panel cluster, electronic navigator, a premium sound package, rear window defroster, tinted glass, power locks, mirrors, windows and seat, and automatic speed control. The XT performance package included the ground effects, turbo engine, and a european suspension.
The car also talks, telling you when your fuel level is low, door is open, etc. The wheels are the factory original cast-aluminum 15". I'm on a tight budget right now so I haven't gotten to make many exterior modifications.In the future I plan to get the car sanded and repainted,and possibly purchase new wheels. I did put a new system in it though. The head unit is a 200watt Pioneer CD player and in the back I have 2 MTX Roadthunder 10's powered by an MTX Thunder 280 amp.
