I got sick and tired of using the resistor mod and not being able to get the damn ks out of my car so I decided to relocate it. After hours of trying to get the ks off with no avail, I went ahead and removed the harness from the stock ks, attached a new one, removed the stock bolt from this other location and bought another from sears which was about 1.25 inches longer and used a 1/4 inch nut and a washer on the bolt near the top so that would act as a lil bit of a torqued bolt washer on the ks, so that i wouldnt over-tighten it and installed it in another location as shown in the pics, this didnt work all that well, so scroll down to see another alternative, any questions? please ask, e-mail me at paragv@juno.com


Since the previous location didnt work too well, I decided to try another location. After having read about the KS being relocated on a Sentra to the firewall, I deciided that would be my next place. The original spot was detecting knock that it definately should not have been because it was too premature, and it felt very inconsistent... here are the new pics of the new location


i used about 2 1/2 feet of heavy guage wire to extend the harness of the ks, and it seems to be working very well
