Start 7-19-2003
This will be my first project car and im using this site to track my progress and for others to check it out too. The pages will go in order by the time I do something to my car so you can see the steps I take and most likly the problems I have along the way.

I bought this car on 7-18-2003. I plan to turn this into a street/drift car and might compete in some compitions.

When I bought this car it had 145,000 miles on it, so for that kind of mileage I think its in pretty good condition.

One of the first plans for this car is to hook up the suspension for serious drifting. Then im trading out the KA for a SR20 sometime soon if im lucky.
Im only 16 and work at a fast food place so its going to take me awhile to get the money for this stuff.

When im done I hope to have a full on drift car soo come back soon to see how it comes along. Oh yeah I also have to pass a smog test to get my plates, and it didn't pass the last time so im hoping today is my lucky day (7-25-03) I added some fuel cleaner, changed out the plugs, new gas, and I romped on it gettin all dat bad stuff out.(note:passed on 8-4-03)

As you can see my dash is cracked and I don't plan on doing any crazy interior work so im just puting in a black dash off another 240. I plan on painting my car black anyway.

My new dash. Its cool because I got this for free from the guy I bought the car from. He was really cool to give me this. Now ill just install it one of these days.

Hey man, nice 240. My advice is to stick with the SR20, biggs2004 is wrong, 180SX had SR20 from about '92 on (right up to 96 (so it was alongside the S14)... anyway, the CA18 is a great engine like toocool said, but if you're going to do an engine conversion anyway, might as well go for an even better engine in the SR20, though if I was you i'd try to get at least an S14 model, preferably S15's one (jap spec, 184kw! that's 250hp) anyway, keep the photos comming man, good luck. Oh, hope you dont' mind, but gonna add u to my friends list so i don't have to search through all the 240s just to find yours hehe :)

nice ride, except it's an automatic, which is fine unless your wanting to do some drifting. also and SR20DET is a great way to go but if your wanting the full 180 drift conversion you need the CA18DET, both nice engines but if I were you I'd stick with the SR20. keep up the good work.

nice. you should get the RB, just because every ricer everywhere is going to be doing the SR swap in another 6 months or so. the other option you could take is to get a CA18DET. they dont have the recognition that they deserve. oh well. the RB25 is plenty of engine for a 240 (although as soon as I get the $4900 i'm gonna do a RB26/RB25 swap with a 26 engine and a 25 transmission).

Hey, that blows about your 240... I have a Lumina right now (sorta sucks) but I'm supposed to get another car, 1989 240 SX Hatchback, 5 speed, needs some minor paint and stuff... So I might end up being in the same boat as you. Peace out
