Thanks for checking out my car, a 1999 Ford Escort ZX2 S/R, one of 106 cars made with the S/R package for that model year (they made 2000 more in model year 2000). The S/R came direct from Ford with lots of aftermarket upgrades from Roush, Centerforce, B&M, Energy Suspension, Visteon, and Borla.
Having owned such pocket rockets as a Dodge Neon ACR, Suzuki Swift GT, and a Dodge Colt GTS Turbo, I jumped at the chance to get this rare little gem.
As good as the stock S/R was, I knew it could be much more, so I purchased what I could, and developed what I couldn't. I now sell the parts at ZXtuner.com. Parts include ZX2 carbon fiber hoods, reverse indiglo gauge faces, , CF Altezza Lenses , and 4-2-1 headers.
Mods pictured above include Altezza Lenses (Carbon Fiber Style Shown), Zxtuner 4-2-1 headers, Chrome Hotshot intake, ZXtuner shielded air filter, Ford Racing plug wires, Esslinger cam gear (intake), ZXtuner radiator brackets, and Esslinger Oil cap.
What you can't see is the Stronger Tranny (4.59 r&p, 4 spider diff, closer ratios in 1-4), Esslinger High Rev Intake cam, High Torque exhaust cam, Underdrive pulley, Manual steering rack, modified stock throttle body, and Hotshot 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust with a catco high flow cat added and a bullet style removable baffle muffler. In it's present state of tune, it makes 148 wheel hp with 133 ft lbs torque.
