THE '88 CHOPPED TOP

This is the beautiful one of a kind mezmorising 1988 Mustang GT with a 4 inch chopped top, beautifully done to percision, hard to find anywhere, over 1,000 hours went into this bad to the bone car. more details to come later along with pictures of the process! The set up is still only in the begining stages of what my crazy mind has set up to do. For now I leave you with the pics though!

THE OUTSIDE

Well hopefully that got ur attention, if not we still got more to go!! as u can see the paint is Saphire Blue INSIDE and out, with Pearl White Racing Stripes, and the MUSTANG GT logos have all been airbrushed a special mix between the blue and white(all over 10 years old but looks damn good.) I will be in the process soon of repainting and it will be completly different. The door handles are SHAVED. The antenna has been moved to the side of the fender and replaced with a retractable one that goes damn near invisable. While the side fenders were redone with vents. Not just jig sawed out, done the functoinal true perfect way. The rear wing was replaced with the saleen wing, and the hood is the SVO style hood and I will probably keep it that way because it just sets the mood of the car better than every other hood ive tried. The wheels are saleen 17 inch. they are wrapped with the firestone sz50's 285's in back 240 in front? The windows are all factory except for the side rear windows. The side window moldings were made specific for the car from ford before they stopped production on them, so if you thought of doing this to your car you are a lil past due on getting started, I have one extra pair of moldings for that special occasion when something happens. They werent so cheap either! but moving on!

THE MOTOR

The engine has been completly redone and already has 34k on it. Has ported and polished factory heads, a 65mm? throtle body, bbk adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and 3 core radiator. nothing to exciting it still even has speed density. But im aready working on a strocked out 302- 347 stroker decked out to some specifics that I already know will asperate naturally just under 500HP to my rear wheels. I would go the chromed out way but I drive it to much and it would get worn out fast. The drivetrain is part stock part BBK drivetrain, that will for sure be made into an air ride system so I can do what I want with the car. The headers are also BBK with an off road H, and flowmasters.

THE INTERIOR

Is barely done at all I got the standard carpet layed out with front seats bolted to the ground with the front console and side door panals installed, The stearing wheel is MOMO, the speedometer is the saleen 200MPH gauges. The back seat is takin out and the rear panels still havent been cut to match the work done. But still hasnt bothered me since I need to take it all out again to paint. However when I do get to it last no doubt it will be one of a kind also, I make and install interiors in those multi million dollar private jets ; )

I have a check list that goes like this

Barebone it

Sound deadin inside

Paint

All new Drivetrain Air suspension

4 wheel 5 lug disk breaks

4.11 gears changed to 3.73

Richmond 6-speed trans

Strocker engine

Rewire everything different

Make center console

Install custom carpet

Make new Seats front

Make door panels

Make one rear seat thats reclined to personal entertainment

Which is all nothing compared to the actual chop work already done.

anyways more to come c ya!!

Hey guys, all you mustang lovers I would like you to check out an up and coming Mustang Parts Dealer. He is located in Kansas City, Kansas. Mustang Auto Parts has been around for about 5 years, but due to limited funds isn't widely known, but with your help, and all the mustang lovers that you know who live in Kansas City, or across the nation, we can change that. Tell all your friends about http://www.mustangautoparts.com We have an online parts catalog, a message forum, wallpapers, and coming soon will be a mustang exhaust library to help Mustang Enthusiasts choose the right sounding exhaust without wasting money. So please click the link, tell your friends about it, spread the word, post on our message board. Anything you can do to help is well appreciated. He has low prices. Also don't worry if you don't see a part that you need on the online catalog, just call him up, and he can order it or get it. We are in the process of adding parts to the catalog, but it's very time consuming. Thanks guys.

I remember back in high school auto class when we dropped a Mopar 454 in an '88 Mustang. How much fun it was to drive... How much work it took... Still to this day when I see one I get all kinds of project ideas. It's just too damn bad I'll have to drive all the way to MO to put my F-Body door-to-door with your 'stang for a quarter mile. Come by and check out the Texas Treasure I call Trigger. Thanks, Stephen <(] Drive it like you stole it! [)>
