The StoryHow yall doin my name is Waylone and my ride is a 1991 V6 Toyota Pickup DLX, I bought this truck in September 2010 and have been fixin it up ever since the day I got it. When I was little my dad had a 1989 V6 Toyota Pickup SR5 and I loved it. When I started lookin for a truck I had just gotten my learners permit and thought it would be a good time to start lookin for a truck, so i did. The first truck that i had started lookin at was my boss mans 2001 Ford F-150 5.4 Lariet. It was a nice truck and all but I just didn't know if I would be able to afford to put gas in it, goin to high school and workin maybe 2 hours after school. So I started lookin at smaller trucks, I then found a 1998 XLT Ranger Ext. Cab and got I hooked on it, it was what I wanted, I made an offer and the guy thought about it. A few days later we got a call that someone else made a better offer than I did and he took that one. After that, I kinda cooled off on lookin for a truck unitl a friend of mine told me that a friend of his had a Toyota that we might like to take a look at. At the first thought of it, I was like yeah ill take a look at it and I thought it wud be pretty run down have a ton of miles. We went and looked at it and I fell in love eventhough I had wanted a Ext. Cab this was in such good shape, had low miles, V6 motor, and great deal on it I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Bought the truck and was goin crazy buggin mom and dad to go and pick it up. Well they told me one day that we need to go pickup some tools from my uncles house, so I went with them. We got there and my uncle said I got them tools back beind the house and I didnt think nothin off til I went around the corner and there she sat. And i will say that I will probably not go back to anything else. I love my Toyota, its the toughest little truck ever built, it may be a rice burner but I dont care, i have never seen a truck with over 500,000 miles on it (on a junk Toyota that I saw) when I bought it, it had 155,000 miles on it and the F-150 had 162,000 which was kinda much being it was 10 years newer than the Toyota. I will say that I will keep this Toyota as long as I can. Now that I have told you how I met my baby, you can take a look at everthing that I have done to her, to get her the way she sits now. This is my first truck and a Father and Son project, and I have loved and will cherish forever, every minute that I spent with my dad workin on it to give me the best truck I could ever have.Hope yall enjoy the pics, there is alot more in store for this truck.
