Pics of my Mineral Grey '02 GT
Page One Exterior page (scroll down for more images) The car is equipped with a Maximum Motorsports suspension package including; Rear lower control arms, panhard bar, HD torque arm, caster camber plates, Brembo brakes, front and rear coilover kit with Bilstien dampers and Hypercoil springs. Yes, the term "handles like it's on rails" applies!!!!! OK...step away from the camera and no one will get hurt.... After; Flames by the man, the myth, the legend, Pete Santini of Westminster, CA. I chose to go with a positive/negative design. The negative flames are the base mineral grey color, and the positive flames are silver to charcol color. I really like how the flames start at silver and end in charcol, giving a sense of temperature while not straying far from the base color. These flames really "pop" in the sunlight!!! Here is a better shot of what is going on with the hood. The GT hood was ditched in favor of the '03 Cobra hood. The blower can be affected by heat soak and hopefully the vents will extract a portion of it. A different angle. One more hood shot. A subtle grey pinstripe was added to the negative flames, while the positive flames were treated to cobalt blue. The '02 GT front and rear bumper covers were ditched for the '03 Cobra bumpers. I chose to have the Cobra letters filled as the car is obviously not a Cobra. The effect is a much cleaner look in my opinion. On 13SEP03, I entered the Saleen 7th Annual Car Show, to my surprise I pulled a 2nd place win in my catagory (99-03 Coupes). I'm going to start working on the interior next!!!! I wanna' pull a first place trophy the next go around!!!!Page One
