This is my 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon with the rare T-Tops. I located her in Texas via Ebay. This is what she looked like when I flew into Texas..

I am the second owner of the Salon and with the T-Tops and Bucket seats it makes for a very sporty package. The seats left a lot to be desired - seat covers hid the gruesome - shredded seats ---

I little new leather and few hundred $$ later - the way it should have looked from the factory!

A second angle to see the overall effect

The Salon has the Olds 350 bored .30 over. She came with the undesirable singe exhaust, BUT I located a dual hump crossmember from a 73 Cutlass - poor thing was crushed and ripped apart in a local junk yard, but you know these cars they keep giving until there is no more to give. Now the 77 has true duals with no Cats - they appeared to have fallen off the car somewhere in the process - 'O) - it looks great - the exhaust fits tight to the body. I would love to put in 3:42 gears. The 2:41 gears currently in the car got 23 mile per gallon on the 1450 mile trip back to Michigan, but leave a lot to be desired for taking off from a dead stop. Not one problem on the trip - except for all the road construction.

Here is a picture of the Salon at its home in Michigan - nothing new done - except for the front plate. Its always the first question I get asked - What year is that car...

The car has 132,000 miles. The engine, trans, Radiator - you name it - have been rebuilt or replaced all in the last 12,000 miles. Almost $10,000 invested in the past 4 years. All new Emblems and Chrome moldings, new carpet, new seats, new wheels. The cruise works, but the A/C just went down. It has T-Tops - who needs A/C - not me.
