StealthTDI's 1998 Volkswagen Jetta

What makes my '98 Jetta special besides the engine? Nothing, if you believe your eyes. I'm conservative. Therefore, I don't like anything eye-catching on my car. I think "stealth" when choosing modifications. The car before you has an additional 70 bhp and 150 lb/ft, vastly improved handling through suspension tuning, upgraded lighting, an upgraded stereo system, and a hidden communications suite. Plus, it serves as a commuter, traveller, workhorse, and weekend racer. But you'd never know it by passing it on the street. One more thing which makes my TDI a little special: TDIs were somewhat limited in the MkIII platform. That and time alone has made MkIII TDIs somewhat of a rare find these days. On top of that, I'm also the original owner, having purchased the car brand new on January 31, 1998. :-) Read on to see what's beneath the skin of my Stealth TDI.

I drive the car all over the place at the drop of a hat. It has nearly 400,000 miles on it and still runs like a top. And that's with about 80% more horsepower and torque than stock.
