Update! I've added a couple new pictures of the 442...take a look!

The motor is a 1969 Olds 455 bored .030 over with C heads, Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 850, MSD Pro-Billet distributor and 6AL box, and Hooker SuperComp Headers going into 3" exhaust. All this is backed up by a TCI built TH-400 with 2600 stall and the stock 3.73 8.5" rear, which desparately needs a posi. That's next on the list...

Don't make fun of my rags on the breathers, they keep the mess down...(I need to put a PCV valve in one of them...)

Other modifications include removal of the stock A/C system in favor of a factory A/C delete set-up I scavenged out of an '81 El Camino I parted out, combined with some of the interior pieces out of a '78 non-air Cutlass. It required some slight tweaking in order to clear the valve covers, but its nice to have the fresh air vents as well as heat. And yes, I can get the valve cover off with the front blower motor housing removed.

In addition to all that, the engine compartment was completely stripped, all the grease and grunge was cleaned off and then the front frame was painted and the floors were re-undercoated to protect them.
The front suspension was totally rebuilt and everything was cleaned up and painted as well.

The interior remains the same as before, all original with the same B&M Megashifter, and the addition of the A/C delete parts.

Note the non a/c headlight switch bezel above, and the non a/c dummy dash vent above the smaller non a/c glove box liner below.

Here's the aluminum hood I recently scored for the car. It's got a couple dings in it, but it is in otherwise excellent condition.
A stock steel hood weighs a hefty 53 lbs.
A stock aluminum hood weighs only 22.5 lbs.

Installed new rear springs today, as well as the rear seat X-braces.

Before After
Not a huge difference, and it's hard to tell on the crooked driveway, but it doesn't sag nearly as bad now. New shocks are next.

Installed rear seat X-braces. Found 20 cents under the rear seat I missed last time I had it apart.
