1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Big Block ConvertibleThis is a nice original RS/SS Big Block Convertible. It was completely restored from the ground up in 1992. It has been driven less than 10,000 miles since. When it was restored everything was either replaced or refinished. The restoration took about two years to complete and the car was completely disassembled. New rear quarters, wheel houses, trunk and floors were repaired or installed. This Camaro is starting to show it's age since the restoration, but it is still a very nice driver and turns heads where ever you take it.It was originally a California Camaro. The interior is in good shape showing some wear. The hideaway headlights still operate as they should. The gauges including the clock still perform well. The top is manual, it could use a new top, I do have one with a glass rear window that will be included in the auction. It has been sitting in storage for quite some time, but may still be in good enough shape to install.Rear is a 12-bolt factory GM posi with 4:10 gears. It is equipped with front power disc brakes, drum rear. The engine is a 396 non-matching numbers originally out of a 1968 Chevrolet. It was completely and professionally built to have more than the stock 325 hp. I would estimate the hp and tq at well over 450 at the very least. It has an aluminum intake, Holley Carburetor 750 double pumper that works perfect on the car. The transmission is a Muncie M21 and the shifter is a Hurst shifter. This Camaro is very fast, but is also a reliable street car. It has true dual exhaust from headers. MSD ignition, the tires are new Bf Goodrich raised white letter radials, 14X6" GM rally wheels with 215 70 size tires front and 14X7" GM rallys 245 60 size rear. There is also a Bf Goodrich spare on a GM rally for the truck. You can drive this Camaro anywhere, I took it on a trip this summer to a nationals car show 60 miles away and it was a pleasure to drive.
