Galatea1's 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Hello everyone. Pictured above is a new body kit that I created for the Hyundai Tiburon. I have a degree in product design, and felt that a project like this would give me more control over designing a car than many designers have working for a company. To prototype and build these parts took about 4,250 hours. To put it into perspective, that would be like working on a car 40 hours a week for 24 months straight.

The picture above shows when the car was accepted into the Alpine Invitational Car Show and Concorso d’Eleganza in Palisades, NY. There were mostly expensive cars at this show. They put me next to a Ferrari, and you can see in the background a Rolls Royce and a Rossion. Even among all the expensive cars, people would still gravitate toward the Hyundai because it was something they had not seen before. It received genuine compliments from the owners of expensive cars parked nearby, and even from the judges in the prestigious concours section of the show. Practically all of them thought it was a new expensive car, until I told them it was a car with a new bodykit.
