this is my 1979 camaro z28
i am in the process of completely restoring it so far me and my uncle have done everything ourselves exept for the paint.
When i first got it i was fourteen and it was in pretty bad shape thre motor was knocking the transmission would only take reverse and it had rust holes
without the money or the time to build an engine i bought a crate motor for it a gmpp 350 and but an rpc high rize intake a holley 600 carb hooker headers and a bunch more. i also put a th350 trans with a 2200-2600 stall converter. i put some folwmaster 40s on it and a z gate shifter in it and i bought a harwood cowl induction hood
well actaully i bought 2 but the 6 inch was kinda big so i sent it back and got the 4
it made it look alot better gave me more hood room and just gave it that stance so then it was off to paint
i decided to go with the paint code off of a 2007 vw r32 its called magma orange.
it was striped all the way down to metal and all the rust was cut out and patched then it was fiber glassed then primed
finally after one year one month and one day it was orange now all that was left was the stripes
i bought a billet grille from camarocentral.com it was cheaper than plastic looked better and its alot stronger
About a week later it was orange with the black stripes and it was gorgeous it was something i had wanted since i was a little boy and it just took a lot of hard work and alot of bllod sweat and tears
when i got the car i was fourteen and over the last 4 years i have learned more than i have over anything else it has tought me the value of a dollar and how hard work pays off in the end
