This is my 1995 BMW 540i 6 speed. As far as mods go I put on some BBS RX rims (17x8.5 ET15) and some Dunlop Direzza star spec tires, Ground Control coil-over suspension (550lbs/in front, 350lbs/in rear) A tuner motorsport DME chip, a 3.15 LSD from a 1989 e32 750 (stock was a 2.93 open diff), had a rear section exhaust built with a magnaflow muffler, euro "smiley" headlights and clear turn signals, and put some HID lights in for low beams.
It needed some work when I first bought it, I had to replace water pump/ t-stat, re-seal the upper timming covers for oil leaks, replaced the leaking brake booster gromets, replaced the leaking heater core, installed a new battery, replaced the front thrust rods and installed 750 (e32) bushings, maint items like all the filters, plugs, all fluids, and replaced the cracked windscreen with an OEM one.
The 6 speed 540's are pretty rare as not many were built. In addition to the man trans they came with sport seats also found in the M5, also the suspension was a little more stiff, little bit lower and had thicker sway bars but not to the extent of the M5, also all 540's (man or auto) had slightly larger brakes than other non M5 e34's, and slightly larger wheels/tires. The engine is the M60B40, a 4.0l v8 DOHC, stock they put out 282hp and 295ft-lbs of torque.

Here is the GC coil-overs, at this time I also put on new front wheel bearings.

Here is it with the stock suspension.

Here was the first day I got it, right away I started tearing the motor down to fix some problems. Those where the rims that were on it, I ditched those quick.
