Boat install pics (posted on SOUNDdomain.com)
I just put this here, because it sucked to do, but it works like a charm. In other words, I'm proud of it!

Most of the parts are recycled, from other installs. The deck used to be in my truck, and will be cool on the water, since it plays MP3's. The Infinity marines were a bitch to install. Had to remove the seats, just to cut larger holes in the fiberglass. They aren't as easy as auto seats... that's an understatement!

Bose marine up front. These are cool, because they have water-tight baffles behind them. Keeps the water away, when you stash a wet life jacket in the storage. Had to cut into the bow, for these. If this looks like an install no-no, that's because it probably is! Imaging is very tough on my cramped boat, so I did with what little room I had. (18 feet) I need every seat I have, so cutting into them isn't an option!

If you're ever thinking of putting a system in a small run-about... don't! This was an awful place to work with a lot of wires. The hull doesn't come apart, like a car. The area is more cramped than a Geo. I think I still have fiberglass shards in my arms! Anyways... the old Alpine V12 runs my mids and highs. The Alpine MRD-300 mono is running a 10" Boston Competitor, that I picked up. It puts out nice bump, for its footprint, thanks to the passive radiator on the back. I needed something that didn't rely on a tightly enclosed space, like a car. Because, bass is free to float anywhere, on an open place, like a boat. Slap your sub box in your front yard, and you get the idea.

After I was all done, I came up with this, as a way to show how freakin' small my work space was. I wear a size 10. Even a yoga instructor would have thrown a few colorful expressions, during this one. It sounds cool, the dashboard shakes, and it was worth it! Even if I did have to remove the steering wheel, steering mount, dashboard, and linkage, just to drop a sub in the storage compartment.
