What started out as a 'Restoration' Daily driver, worked out for about 2 1/2 years... and then at the age of 18, I started work at a local mechanic shop, and my 'hot' little 68 F100 started getting some real funding...I started the paint stripping and motor teardown in April 2010, this is the beast now... Blue Thunder is gone and _______ is coming to life :) Truk'N Under ConstructionIn April 2010 I decided to take my truck a traditional 'Rat Rod' direction... satin black paint, colored wheels, little to no chrome, white walls, and lots of noise... after stripping a majority of the paint, i really liked how the 'Metal Jacket' looked, bare bones and raw... isn't that what Rat'ing out a vehicle is about? working with what you've got and staying unique? new idea.Bare Metal body, but still wanted to keep the baby blue/silver/black scheme... Bare metal body, baby blue wheels, baby blue accents, black accent pinstriping, bam. I'll get some better pics up soon, its still in progress, a lot is going to be finished in the next week or two... At the same time I started stripping the body, I was aiming to slam a new cam in the old motor, a well worn and abused 360 (thought it was a 390 forever) with an edelbrock intake, performance exhaust and a hot coil/electronic distributor with msd wires and super gapped out plugs... and I thought that had power... here's a taste of the new look and motor specs, because its never JUST a camshaft.Future Plans... Slammed (air bag), Disc brakes on the front end, Locker for my 9 inch, bed cover, rape a truck with a 428 cobra jet... wait I already did the last one!
