CAR AUDIO INSTALL UNDERWAY!!!!!

Normally-posting pics of a SIMPLE in dash install wouldnt even find its way on to my page for the fact that simple is what it is-well-this was far from it so i decided to show ya Car Domain users all thats involved with taking out your factory radio and swapping it for something more user friendly!

This is the JVC single disc MP3/CD player with front auxilary port for and outside source-say and iPod for example-can be played through. This is one bad muther trucka! The sound quality is superb and if set in "WOOFER" mode it adds the option of a seperate subwoofer volume control right there at your fingertips! No addition sub amp knobs to mount!

From left to right is:A universal attena adaptor i did away with and picked up a single vehicle specific one the next day.

Scoshe GMLAN2SR wiring harness-YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS HARNESS IF YOU WANT TO DO THE JOB RIGHT!!!!Only reason i stress that is because of the rediculouse price tag they put on this thing!$125 bucks at your local Best Buy-as if the price wasnt bad enough as it was they sold me the wrong one the first time around but got the correct harness and evrythings work well so far!

This little blue box is why the harness is so exspensive!GM had a bright idea and incorperated the door chime module inside the factory radio-once you remove the factory unit you loose all audible alerts-headlights left on-keys in the ignition-so on and so fourth but theres more to it than just that-if your Cavalier has:

-Factory BOSE stereo

-On Star equiped

This harness will be required-simply because if the interface module doesnt see all the sources that need to be plugged in it will not work which is exactly why mine didnt! They sold me the one that needed to see the On Star source and since my car doesnt have that option the circut wouldnt close leaving me with a dead radio in my dash!

One final comment on the harness is it comes with a 12v relay-that maintains the key off until your drivers door is opened for the in dash to cut off.

THE REST IS JUST WTF?!!!!!

The bodyman responsable for all the work start to finish is gonna lay down some racing stripes that follow my hood lines in gun metal with a marblizer effect-should look bad ass!A MONTH?!!!WOW!Id be goin nuts! They turned my ride out in less than two weeks!Your SXT will be better once back in your possesion tho so the wait is almost worth it!
