Well this is the aftermath of pulling out the engine. I had to pull everything off the front just to take the fenders off.. so I did.. sanded down to metal and recently painted Acrylic gloss black.
I don't feel the picture can do the paint justice.. It looks flawless close up.. like black glass. All the hard prep work really paid off here.
Now the hard part.. getting the engine together and installing so it starts and lights work w/o scratching the paint... more pics soon.
Oh, this is my other project.. Blugil - A 71 Barracuda I bough previously. One has to go.. so 318 grand coupe.. that would be you. The car needs restoration. I have aftermarket glass shaker set-up.. will look real good. Have stamped these febnders already. I sanded the car down to metal.. not too bad, but the floor and quarters should be replaced. I'll do some light body work and primer it. Should have it for sale by Spring '04. Will add pics of this as well.
Here are my nephews.. One thinks my 71 shaker is the coolest and the other like his Dad's 70 drop top. Good taste for 7 & 9 year olds.. Start'em early!!
