This pic says it all.. MEAN FISH. They'll never buiild a car w/ more of a "cult" following than the 1971 Shaker Cuda. The car has welded tow-bars on the front.. I left them on becasue it's part of the car's history now. It was bought strictly for 1/4 mile racing in NJ. I'll be driving it soley on the road now.. maybe a few runs at Englishtown, NJ.

This 1971 N96 Shaker Cuda was bought to race.. by Ed Hamburger.. hence the low miles (17k).. towed to the track and back to the garage. Since it was once raced.. you can imagine that many drivetrain parts broke. When I got the car it had a 1972 warranty 340 block & trans. The rear and everything else is stock to the car. We park our 71fish next to the nicest muscle cars at cruise night & steal much of the attention. No way would I ever trade this fish for a Viper. Shaker Cudas are the COOLEST!!

This fish has gills.

The 340 is finally done and installed. Internals are Steel Crank, forged pistons, 10:1 compression, Howard mechanical ROLLER Cam 245° duration / 570° lift. The heads are true 6-Pack T/A heads.. so the heads are ported nicely to take advantage of the offset rockers (Mopar roller rockers). We put on a single plane Offy topped off with a street Demon 750 mechanical (now a 650 Holley). We also used Hamburger's original tub oil pan, which came with the car (The weld line broke so I replaced w/ a stock Mopar pan)! We are hoping to run in the 12's w/ the 3:91 gears. The T/A ported heads should make this Cuda jump!

I have the fender tag and "both" buildsheets. This is a real Cuda.. no clones here.

It was a long awaited installation and the 340 SOUNDS great. It's a 340 slapstick w/ HD 727 and 3:91 suregrip. I painted the engine compartment & it looks good. I have the T/A U heads w/ roller rockers. This 340 should have approx 400-450 HP.

FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS DRIVE FORDS OR CHEVY'S! :)
