Haven't updated in a few years. Someone contacted me offsite and asked how things were going these days. I replaced the OME 927 front springs and JBA25 skyjacker rear springs with Old Man Emu 790's and JBA4's from JeepinbyAl's a few years ago to increase the coil rates to better put up with the added weight of the vehicle. I wore out the M/T's and a set of commercial tires then put on a set of General Grabber red letter tires in 31x10.5R15 on black rock dune wheels. I've been extremely satisfied with the new tires. They're wearing very well on the vehicle. Despite not having sipping they do great on wet roads, they're average on Ice, for snow they get better the deeper the snow gets. They clean out well in mud and grip wet rock fairly well when air'ed down. In sand, where it spends as much time as it does on the paved road, they really shine. I've had tires in the past that simply would not tolerate not being aired down for sand, or you had to really bag them to stay on top of the baby powder. They're also a heavy enough built tire that when aired down to 15psi they don't wallow when driven on the street with a 5300lb vehicle. All things considered, what the next set of tires will be when these finally wear out, isn't a debate I'm likely to have.
