owenrobertson's 1969 Ford Mustang Sportsroof
429 D0VE heads, ported/polished exhaust, stock intake ports
460 D1VE block, .060" over
472 cubic inches, assembled ready to install
The original 302, ready to be removed
Shock towers are going...
Mustang II front suspension
This is my Boss 429, it isn't built up yet, just making sure it fits before welding in the motor mounts.
Thought a Don Hampton blower would help the Boss breath at lower RPM, big ports kill velocity, forced induction fixes that.
The Boss 429 still isn't complete, need a set of 8:1 pistons, the 460 is a temporary engine, I'm happy with it - a 15.8 second car (with the 302), became a 12.6 second car (@112mph) by simply adding 170 cubic inches.
The Boss 429, still in work, still need pistons
