flyin1's 1979 Lincoln Continental: Cartier Williamsburg with sunroof. "Oh, My, 79"Here are some pictures of when I first found it. It was dirty, molds, tires almost flat, weight was held by 2x4s, the elements were at it... It needed to be saved! I actually encountered this Lincoln by accident. In a nutshell, I've been watching this house on a busy main road, and over time the owner has been collecting old Cadillacs, Toyotas, and Lincolns. I saw this Lincoln, and I said to my dad (we were in the car) "that's a 77-79 Lincoln! Can you say American Gangsta!" I took a risk and trespass to ask the elderly owner, it wasn't even for sale, and it wasn't even running. Aparantly this Lincoln was sitting for more than 10 years outside. This Lincoln is a very rare model with rare options: 2-tone Williamsburg Edition, Cartier trim, power sunroof, full vinyl roof, and right front reclining seat. After much thinking, pushing, and negociating with the owner, I got it a week later. Here are pictures when I first saw the car "love at first sight"
