First Steps

These pictures show the stripping of the front fenders and rust treating underneath, one of the hood cowls drainage pipes is leaking into the interior, so i'll have to fix that soon. After the fenders and cowl were off i sanded them down to mostly bare metal and painted them with some rustoleum undercoat spray.

Hey I just bought a 260. So I am basically doing the same dance. You wouldnt believe the size of some rust holes that are in the floorpan. where did you get the seat cover kit?

Good start on the Z. Check out on youtube, there is a 9 sec 260z with a RB26DETT in it. Also there is a 260z with an RB26DETT T88 turbo separate from that one that sounds like a V8 camming its ass off.

Nice Datsun! I love how clean the engine bay is! Good luck on the restoral. I'm looking at restoring a classic JDM this summer.
