Amandafire's 1991 Toyota Pickup

I bought this truck for $900, I wanted to spend under $1500 on a 4WD Toyota. This wasnt the best or the worst I found, but it was the best deal for the money. It was a 5-speed, had a trailer hitch, and me and my boyfriend pick up alot of projects.  It didnt run right and had no power, I had to drive it an hour home and it would barely do 60 mph on the interstate. I helped my boyfriend reset the distributor timing. He held the ratchet on the crank while I pushed the distributor in. I got it on the first try too. After that the truck ran great and had alot more power on the interstate.

The bed it rusty, the front fenders were really rusty, but the cab is solid, and the frame is too. It has about 130,000 miles on it and runs like its brand new. The four wheel drive works great and there isnt anything really wrong with it aside from the rust. Also it has manual locking hubs, I think most Toyotas this year have them too.

Here is the truck right after I got it. It has American Racing wheels, and 235/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler tires.

You can see the front fenders, Doors and bed are rusty here. Here it is after my boyfriend drove three hours to pick up a new MR2 body for his old car.

Here it is after I bought some OEM Toyota aluminum wheels and some 31X10.50-15 Remington Mud Brutes. I really didnt like the American Racing Wheels, or the Goodyear Tires. I got the wheels for $80 and they had some 31 inch Bridgestone Dueler A/T's but they were really worn. So I got new tires. Besides, I needed something mean for winter, and I hope to go to the Haspin Acres off road park this year!

I didnt mind the bench seat, but I like reclining and my boyfriend suggested putting in some spare MR2 bucket seats we had. So he went ahead and installed them. I like the way they look, and they are really comfortable, lumbar support is nice too!

Here it is currently with rust free fenders, and a rust free drivers side door. I have a passenger side door for it, it needs painted because its blue. My boyfriend painted everything else. Just he has to paint outside and doesnt want to paint the other door in the winter. All I need is a bed now!

Snow pictures, soon to come mud pictures!
