---------------------------------------
At 18 years of age, I currently reside in Stettler, Alberta, Canada, and work at Jiro Enerflex. Here I am currently starting into my first year as a millwirght (industrial mechanic) apprentice, where I help build and assembly gas compression units. And enough about me, and I'll got straight to the truck.
This is my 1964 Ford F-100 that I have redone. This is where a lot of my time and money has gone
I originally purchased this truck at a farm auction for $250 Cdn. when I was about 14 years old.
The truck didn't really start to look much different until I was 15. Being young and hopeless at bodywork, I was fortunate enough to have an older friend who used to work in a bodyshop, help me out for very little cost. All I really had to purchase were the supplies.
It was in my uncles shop for the majority of the time while the body work was getting done, until after a while it just ended up going no where.
So around Christmas time of 2002 we took the truck to Calgary, where a buddy of my uncles painted the truck for $400 Cdn. Personally, I think not a bad paint job for the price. Most of the trim is orginal. The trim that isn't off this truck came off of a parts truck which I also purchased at a farm auction for $475 cdn. That is also where the chrome grill is from. The bumper is off of a 71 Ford F-100.
I purchased the rims from a local tire shop. They are 15 x 8 American Racing 'Helix' rims. Regular $160 cdn, I also scammed up a deal for $105 cdn, each. Then the rubber is from Canadian tire, just $70 a rubber, which is a 235 70R - All Terian Tread. In the future it would be nice to upgrade to BF Goodrich Radial T/A 's. In all the tire set up was about $850 cdn.
I am still currently trying to decide what to do with the back end. I had a roll pan custom bent to fit the contour of the bottom of the bed. But the problem with the one they fabbed up, is that the gap between the bottom of the tailgate and the top of the rollpan is about an inch. I decided not to put it on just because I thought it would look retarded.
