bmarkheim's 1998 Ford Mustang
This car was supposed to be a reliable daily driver with a few modifications. I should have known better. I got the bug AGAIN.

I traded off my 86 LX for the 98 GT.

As you can see, the 98 wasn't a bad car to start out. It already had a BBK cold air intake, Bassani catted X pipe, Flowmaster cat back, and chrome Cobra R wheels. But like any other used vehicle, it had a few hidden issues. Most of the first modifications were out of neccessity.

After replacing every idler pulley on the front of the motor, I still had an annoying squeek that was getting persistantly worse. After many frustrating nights in the garage, I found that the crank pulley had lost all of the grooves for the belt. So, I made a call to Brothers Performance and got a set of underdrive pulleys for $20 more than the stock Ford crank pulley.
Then I had exhaust issues. The passenger side Flowmaster had a broken baffle in it and was causing a blockage.

So I figured what the heck, just replace everything from the manifolds back. I ordered a Pypes off road X pipe and another Flowmaster cat back with Super 44's and a couple of SLP tips. After tearing into the exhaust system, I found that the previous owner had installed 2 1/4" pipe on the cat back. the welds looked alot like, well, chicken $^!#. If you have not heard the combonation of the components, I suggest you try it, unless you like you neighbors.

Then, as if it were destiny, I found a Saleen SR wing on Ebay for $75. It was painted the correct color and it was 200 miles from my house. I installed it at 10:30 in the evening after I picked it up.
