Here is a picture of my TR8. I had to register on Cardomain as a TR7 cause Cardomain does not list TR8 and they would not allow me to register it without a model. Anyways, this is a true 8 with the Rover aluminum V8 engine installed from the factory. It was a none running car when I bought it, that had been driven into a garage 6 years before and not started or driven in years.I had to rebuild the powersteering, both carbureters, the distributor, and the list goes on. The beauty of this engine is that it is a Buick 215 small block V8. This engine was used in the 1960s Buick cars until they sold the patent to Rover around 1966. So all the engine parts are American made and easy to aquire. The only difference in the Rover engine compared to the Amercian version is the Carbs. After getting it running and enjoying it for a summer, I decided to increase the horsepower by adding an Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb. Along with that setup, I added a electronic ignition and headers.
