We ran the motor on the dyno and it produced 444HP @ 4,800 rpm at the flywheel without nitrous. Ignore the date on the dyno sheet, they didn't bother to set the date or time on the computer. The motor was dynoed at Harry Holton's shop, he holds the current NHRA record for Super Stock Automatic at 8.53 seconds. We only ran the pulls to 5,000 rpm because it would missfire starting around 4,800. We spent most of the day trying to get rid of the miss and didn't have a chance to do any fine tuning. We finally traced the problem to the brand new MSD distributor. With the ignition fixed and a little tuning it should pick up another 20 to 30 HP. Here are a few pictures and the dyno sheet.
Here are some recent pictures with the Billet Specialties Vintec Dished wheels and tires. The fronts are 18 X 8" with 255/35ZR18 tires, the rears are 18 X 9.5" with 295/35ZR18 tires. Once it's finished I'll use it to tow my '69 Camaro to the track. Check out the progress on the Camaro. The car sits a bit high now because it has no glass, interior, bumpers or stereo equipment. Once finished I'll adjust the ride height.
