75200mb's 1975 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Well, there isn't a lot to add to this page quite yet. Considering I have only just found someone to do the work. It will cost about $5,000 Canadian to fully restore it with an excellent paint job. A car like this is worth it, no? I want a two tone color, look at the image below.

I got the idea when I was looking at Mercedes on eBay. I saw this car. I like the color contrast and it makes it look like a Rolls-Royce (a good thing!). I want to keep the main color the same metallic blue-green, but I want my roof to be metallic white in the same fashion as in the image! Tell me what you think!

Will keep you updated with images, the car is going to the shop in a short time after the engine's timing has been perfected.

Thanks guys and sorry for not updating in a long time.

Please sign my guest book so I can see your ride.

The car went to the shop as of 03/11/03. The estimated time of it's completion is 3-5 months. I am happy it is going to take so long, because they will take their time and do a good job. It also means it will be heated for a good chunk of the winter. Winter gets bad here. I will keep everyone updated with images during restoration!

Hi!
Sorry to disappoint you,but your car is not the only one in North America. While I was living in Germany I picked up a 1975 Mercedes 200 with only 78000km in 1998. I bought it from the first owner, also with all the original paperwork to document the mileage. I moved back to the US in 2001 and brought the car with me. It now resides in Michigan with a historical license plate. It really is a great car even if it is not the fastest Benz ever built. It does get a lot of looks though! Maybe because of the color (Caledonian Green) or just because you NEVER see any of these cars in Michigan, no matter what model they are!
Your car is quite nice! Would you be interested in buying an original A/C setup for it?

Good ride but not the only one in Canada. I live on Galiano Island normally (I am working in Rome temporarily) and I have the exact same car in yellow which my wife is using as the only taxi on the island. I bought it from Niemoeller in Gemany (a great parts source). It has 100K km.

Nice Benz! One question, though. Why was this car for sale at a Junkyard? how much restoration was needed to get it in the shape it is in now?
