Audio:
Well the Monsoon sound system really isn't worth the money, yet it came with the sunroof as a package. The deck and amp aren't bad, but we are having trouble with the speakers. We have one left rear speaker making distortion and the front right tweeter fluttering. Turns out they are 5.5 inch speakers and the tweeters are maybe an inch.
A big thanks goes out to JL Audio for helping us out with this project car. The following JL Audio products have been installed: JL Audio 2AWG Wire kit, XR650-CSi 6.5" Component Speakers (2 Sets), CVS312RG-W6v2 Enclosure with 12" W6v2 Subwoofers, and a 300/4 and 500/1 Amplifier. What a difference! Definitely loud. Big thanks to the Car Toys in Irving (Billy Nolen) for the great installation work.
Update 07-26-04: Grand Prairie Audio installed a Alpine CDA-9835 to replace the OEM Monsoon Deck. It makes quite a difference, as up to now we have only been able to get a 1/4 of the range without distortion from the amplified signal out of the deck. Thank you for all your work!
