Project 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX

13bjunkie's 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX

Chapter 1: Humble Beginnings

A quick backstory on the car. Subaru released the new Impreza line in 2008. The WRX in particular came with a turbo-charged 2.5 liter 225 hp engine. To stay in line with it's competition, the WRX was slated to be revised for 2010 with more power and agressive styling cues inspired from the WRX STI. It wasn't long until the 2009 Impreza WRX came into show rooms boasting a plethora of these chages. Cue the outrage of 2008 owners...

The choice to go with two hatchbacks was quite simple. To accomodate our family. The build as a whole involves the two vehicles pictured above (2009 WRX left, 2009 ImprezaGT right), but only the WRX will be chronicled in the following pages. More pictures will be added along the way. There are still plenty of pictures to go through and organize at the moment. But while you're here, enjoy the content and please rate the car :-D

Really like the flush stance on your car. What is the offset on them? How is the ride on the BC coilovers? What do you have the dampers set to for daily driving? I think I just found the inspiration for my car. Same car except mine is the 4 door sedan. Pls post more pix!

car looks sick. i'm in the area and thought about stopping by EFI Logics for some thoughts/advice. did you get those wheels/tires to fit without any fender rolling? do they rub?

The 18x9.5 does require fender mods. The 245/40 tyres doesnt let you go scott free either. Fender liner will still rub
